Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Scope-Scan.AI account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request, what data will be deleted, and what data (if any) will be retained.

What data is deleted

When you request account deletion, we permanently delete the following data:

• Your account (email address, password hash, and any profile information)
• All property addresses and personal identifiers linked to your scans
• All AI-generated reports produced from your scans
• All scan history and gallery entries tied to your account
• The association between your identity and any scan data you have contributed

What data is retained

Some data may be retained for legal, security, technical, or contractual reasons:

Legal and compliance records

Records we are required to retain by law (such as tax records or records related to legal disputes) will be kept for the period required by applicable law.

Security logs

Server logs containing information such as IP addresses and access timestamps may be retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes.

AI training data contributed by Free tier users

By using the Free tier of Scope-Scan.AI (the Geo Scan feature), you agreed that scan data contributed through that tier — including 360° panoramas, GPS coordinates, and associated metadata — may be used to train and improve our AI models. This is the trade for free access to the service, disclosed in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy and Section 6 of our Terms of Service. It is similar to how companies like Zillow and Redfin use consumer data in exchange for free access to their services.

When you delete your account:

• The link between you (the user) and the scan data is removed. Personal identifiers such as your email address, account ID, and property addresses associated with the scans are deleted from our systems.
• The scan data itself (photos, GPS coordinates as raw values, metadata) remains part of the Scope-Scan.AI training corpus. Once contributed under the Free tier terms, this data becomes an ongoing part of our proprietary training dataset and is not removed upon account deletion.
• The de-identified data is not tracked back to you. After account deletion, there is no way for us to identify which specific data in the training corpus was contributed by your account.

This is consistent with standard industry practice for AI services with data-for-service business models.

Paid tier scans

Scans captured on the Paid tier (Scope Scan) are not used for AI training by default and are deleted along with your account, subject to the retention periods described above.

Data retention timeline

• Account and personal data: Deleted within 30 days of your request
• Personal identifiers linked to scan data: Removed within 30 days of your request
• Paid tier scans and reports: Deleted within 30 days of your request
• Backup copies: Removed from active backup systems within 90 days of your request
• De-identified Free tier scan data in training corpus: Retained as part of our proprietary training dataset

Partial data deletion

If you would like to delete specific data (such as personal identifiers from a specific scan) without deleting your entire account, please email us at support@scope-scan.ai with details about which data you would like removed. We will process partial deletion requests within the same 30-day timeframe, subject to the same retention rules as full account deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional data rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or other privacy regulations.
